The Department of Religious Studies Presents:
Hooker Distinguished Visiting Professor Lecture by Dr. Ekaputra Tupamahu.
A Eurocentric view of history can be detected in the earliest scholarly works on the life of Jesus. Even more recent historical Jesus scholars also continue to go down Eurocentric paths.
In this talk, Ekaputra Tupamahu challenges western historical Jesus scholars to reflect on their subjective positionality and to engage with scholars from outside Europe.
